We completed our work on the Park Bridge project in 36 months, contributing to the route being opened 21 months ahead of schedule. Achieving this required:
- Winter work
- Midnight pours
- An aggressive timeline
Replaced as part of the Kicking Horse Canyon improvement project of the Trans-Canada Highway, the Park Bridge is 92m high and 405m long, with a 6 per cent graded curve. It only has one expansion joint, which expands and contracts 480mm at the top end of the bridge. Using our extensive experience and knowledge of Performance Concrete, we were able to meet the requirements of these unique specifications.
